Troup County Schools are accredited by SACS CASI and serve students in grades Pre-K through twelve. In grades Pre-K through 2, the emphasis is on literacy, with a focus on vocabulary development, phonics, sight words and comprehension. The elementary program, K through 5, is designed to meet individual needs of students by using a variety of strategies and resources. Manipulatives and computers help connect abstract concepts to real world experiences and prepare students for secondary coursework. Middle school programs blend a commitment to academic achievement with a supportive place to learn through the use of technology. High schools offer students the opportunity to excel with advanced placement, technical classes, and fine arts courses. Qualified students have the opportunity to learn even more in their fields of interest in collaboration with technical and traditional colleges in the area. |
